Instruct is the ERIC for structural biology, and therefore, it is logical that Instruct Digital services form the basis of the Structural Biology EOSC node. Instruct is already addressing the data management needs identified by its community and provides access and reporting for its services using the project management tool ARIA.
In EOSC Beyond, Instruct aims to fill in some important blank spaces within this node. Specifically, Instruct will utilise horizontal data storage and make it available via a brokering mechanism within ARIA to pilot the construction of federated storage within the node. Post-embargo research outputs will be made available and FAIR through output to EOSC catalogues. Instruct will also consume core services where appropriate, with a particular interest in PID services, as these are believed to be particularly useful for its data management use cases.
