The workshop, titled “Future Perfect: EOSC Building Blocks from the FAIR-IMPACT Past and Present,” is scheduled for January 20, 2025.
The second edition of the EOSC Winter School will take place from January 20–23, 2025, in Seville, Spain. This initiative, organised by EOSC-A with support from the EOSC Focus project, addresses the growing need for collaboration among Horizon Europe EOSC-related projects. The concept for the Winter School arose from a suggestion at the European Commission’s June 2023 coordination meeting, which identified a significant collaboration gap within these projects. FAIR-IMPACT’s Final Interoperability Workshop at EOSC Winter School 2025
In conjunction with the EOSC Winter School, the FAIR-IMPACT team invites you to participate in the Final FAIR-IMPACT Interoperability Workshop on January 20, 2025, in Seville. The workshop, titled “Future Perfect: EOSC Building Blocks from the FAIR-IMPACT Past and Present,” will focus on advancing interoperability within the EOSC context.
The final FAIR-IMPACT interoperability workshop aims to maximise the utility of the previous workshop results in the EOSC context, titled “From Frameworks to Action: Lessons from the FAIR-IMPACT co-located workshop at the RDA Plenary” that was held on December 3, 2024. EOSC projects are invited to present their approaches to the identified general interoperability challenges and goals in the EOSC context. The approaches are expected to cover semantic, organisational and legal aspects of interoperability, in addition to technical and operational ones. The conclusions of the workshop will be mapped to the EOSC Strategic Pillars and offered as input to the EOSC Winter School sessions following the workshop.
Roksana Wilk, ACK Cyfronet AGH, represents EOSC Beyond in the workshop, with the presentation “EOSC Beyond: Core solutions for the federated EOSC” as part of the session “The Present – realising the EOSC interoperability”, and as part of the discussion on the future.
